Our Commitment

Going Green

Commonwealth Concepts is proud to announce that 10 of our outlets have been awarded the Base Tier award in the Farm to Table (FTT) Recognition Programme developed by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) in partnership with the Association of Catering Professionals Singapore, Restaurant Association of Singapore, and Singapore Hotel Association.

This Programme aims to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices in the procurement of locally farmed produce by HoReCa businesses. Under a tiered award system, businesses that procure at least 15% of local produce in one food category will receive the Base Tier award.

This recognition is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and supporting local produce. We are grateful to be part of this meaningful initiative by SFA and look forward to continuing working towards a sustainable future.

Why is it important to support local produce and be eco-friendly?

Compared to huge enterprises, local businesses often pose a lower environmental impact. Local goods lessen carbon emissions because they do not need to travel as far. It helps in reducing waste and pollution: Locally produced goods require significantly less packaging than those carried across the country since they require little transportation. Less packaging is used, which lowers pollution and landfill trash.
